After Freddie served faithfully in the military, we were able to travel extensively for 10 years throughout the United States as Freddie worked for an environmental company. We saw much more of our nation than we could have ever dreamed of. In 2002, we decided to make a change. We loaded up the truck to head out of Alaska, where we were at the time, and decided to settle down in upstate South Carolina.

Upstate South Carolina is one of the most beautiful areas that we discovered throughout our travels. We found that South Carolina is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful states in America that has an abundant supply of outdoor recreational activities to enjoy.

With Lake Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell in such close proximity, it is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. With perfect four seasons, the upstate offers all the things we love most.

When we aren’t working or relaxing at the lake, you will find us cruising through the beautiful back roads on our motorcycle, taking in the sights and sounds of the land and what it has to offer. We love touring the upstate area, seeking out that next adventure. We enjoy hiking through our many state parks and national forests, taking in all the beautiful vistas, valleys, and waterfalls.
